Preparation Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Chicken
Heat ½ cup oil or ghee. Sauté 2 finely sliced medium onions until golden. Add 1 tablespoon garlic and 750g chicken. Stir-fry for a few minutes. Add 2 cups water, cover, and simmer on low heat until the chicken is tender.Step 2: Prepare the Chickpeas
In a separate pot, boil 300g chickpeas (previously soaked for 2 hours) in 12 cups water for 2 hours. Add the entire packet of Shan Murgh Cholay Mix and continue to boil for 1 hour or until the chickpeas are fully tender.Step 3: Combine and Finish
Merge the cooked chicken with the spiced chickpeas. Stir thoroughly and cook together for 30 minutes. Finally, add ½ cup heated oil or ghee and continue cooking until the oil begins to separate from the curry.Serving Suggestion:
